How can a real estate investing mentor help me?

The decision to hire a private mentor shows that you are committed to your success and you're ready to take it to the next level. However, finding the right mentor can be as challenging as finding the right investment property. There are many different philosophies and strategies when it comes to real estate investing and the relationship between mentor and student is a very personal one. With so many self proclaimed real estate geniuses how do you decide not only what is real, but what is best for you.

Like all of our referral partners, Rein USA only promotes those programs or individuals who have been personally recommended through our network. We invite you to interview our preferred mentors and decide for yourself if they fit with your goals and objectives.  As alwyas you can contact Mark Stevens with any questions at mstevens@reinusa.com.

Peter Harris- hP 3 Coaching Company, Inc.
Born and raised in the city of San Francisco , Peter Harris has had a life-long dream of starting an elementary school for at-risk kids. Peter is definitely on track to achieving that goal. And his real estate endeavors and teaching are definitely connected to one another.

A key life event transpired Peter's life. It was the gift of having a mentor entrenched into his every day. The mentor was a very wise and great man named Nick Tsujimoto.

Almost overnight, Peter became a serious student of real life and pursued his hunger for personal growth. His mentor continually pushed him to the edge, but provided a soft place to land. Back in February 2000, he purchased his first real estate investment property, a single family home to rent. By the end of 2003, he owned and operated hundreds of apartment units on the west coast, in the Midwest , and on the east coast.

In early 2003, Peter, at the urging of a friend, started a mentoring company of his own, teaching students how to buy cash-flowing residential real estate. Now, fast-forward to the beginning of 2006, and Peter has mentored over 80 students one-on-one nationwide, and counting. Students have purchased properties from duplexes to over 200+ unit apartment buildings.

Peter's success as a private mentor can be attributed to "meeting the investor where they are", in terms of experiences, fears, and confidence level. Peter provides step-by-step instructions on each facet of the deal from locating a cash-flowing deal, to negotiating it, to financing it, to finding and managing a property manager, to getting the deal closed, and to knowing how to run your investment like a business.

There's no better way than having a mentor by your side when you need him and being instructed one-on-one!

In 2006, Peter has just completed and published an audio educational real estate investment product with Donald Trump entitled, "Three Master Secrets of Real Estate Success". It is sold in all of the name brand bookstores nationally.

Besides real estate, Peter's passions include, hanging out with his son, tutoring elementary children, serving at the church, trail running, and cycling.

Lon Welsh
Your Castle Real Estate
Owner

Your Castle Real Estate (YCRE) provides development, brokerage, appraisal and lending services to residential, investor and commercial clients.  To help clients obtain maximum value, Lon Welsh, the founder, developed a proprietary software package that evaluates all of the properties for sale in a market and determines which 2% represent the best values.  The enables, for example, first time buyers to get homes with nothing down without appraisal problems, contractors to find fix and flip projects with substantial upside, and investors to find rentals with better cash flow.  The pricing engine covers most major markets in North America and has several patents pending.  The Denver Business Journal awarded Mr. Welsh the Apartment Heavy Hitter Award for his achievement of personally selling over $10 million in real estate per year, in both 2004 and 2005.

Mr. Welsh and his team of more than thirty brokers complete several hundred transactions per year for their clients and their personal portfolios.  He has personally overseen eight home renovation projects and currently owns nine apartment buildings with 110 rental units.  His is author of two mentorship books: "Fundamentals of Real Estate Investing" and "Advanced Real Estate Investing."   Both books include eight audio CDs and analytical templates.  His book, "The Impatient Investor," will be published in late 2006.  Mr. Welsh is a frequent speaker at real estate investing clubs and on investing radio shows.

Prior to founding YCRE, Mr. Welsh spent eight years working as a consultant, first with Deloitte & Touche and later with Arthur Andersen (Accenture).  At Deloitte, he managed merger and acquisition strategy and integration engagements.  At Accenture, Mr. Welsh was a senior manager providing strategy and operations consulting services to communications and high tech clients.  Much of his work revolved around defining a conceptual solution to a strategic problem, then designing and implementing integrated systems, processes and training to provide the client with a sustainable competitive advantage.  One of his research projects won the Firm's top prize in an annual thought leadership competition.

Mr. Welsh also held several finance and accounting positions with Kimberly-Clark, a Fortune 100 consumer products company.  He has a BBA in Finance from the University of Iowa and an MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt.

OBJECTIVES of the MENTOR PROGRAM

  • Fifteen audio CDs and a data CD with analysis templates.
  • Group discussions of topics to help you quickly climb the investing learning curve.
  • Site visits of client-owned properties learn from their experience and tours of properties for sale, where we can apply what we have learned.  The group evaluates if a property represents a good deal and its profit potential.

When you are finished with program, you will understand your strengths and weaknesses, and what types of investments are best for your unique situation and goals.  You'll understand how to analyze, purchase, manage and sell like a seasoned pro.  And you'll have a customized action plan built with your mentor to enable you to proceed with confidence.
